Alejandro Ingelmo Spring/Summer 2010

November 26, 2009

Consider this a ‘reporting not recommending’ post. Sometimes people have off days, bad nights or whatever. We’ll just assume that Ingelmo had an off night when he made this collection. The closest we can come to compliment it that it is interesting – just not in a good way. As you’ve guessed by now, we’re not fans but we’ve put it up in case anyone disagrees.

With its natural and puristic style the collection takes its design cues back down memory lane to the unforgettable hours of major sport events. The Dassler collection is provocative and modern, going back to the origin of sports and with its name remembering the founder of PUMA, Rudolf Dassler.

United bamboo X Converse 1HUND(RED) Artist Series Chuck Taylor

November 13, 2009

united-bamboo-converse-1hundred-chuck-taylorConverse looks towards New York-based label united bamboo for another contribution into its 1HUND(RED) Artist Series program. The shoes are offered as a Chuck Taylor but they’ve been changed around so much that they hardly resemble what would be considered a classic Chuck Taylor silhouette. A bit sleeker than other interpretations, this united bamboo design features a quilted upper with hidden laceloops, White tonal colorway and Red highlights. Available now via the honeyee online store.
